Source: "Sri Tri Buna Utama died in 1347 after a reign of 48 years. He was buried on the hill of Singapura, called Bukit Larangan or the 'Forbidden Hill'. He was succeeded by his son Paduka Sri Pikrama Wira.
In the late 1340s, during the reign of Paduka Sri Pikrama Wira, the east Javanese kingdom of Majapahit claimed superiority over Singapura. It attacked Singapura because Paduka Sri Pikrama Wira  showed indifference to Majapahit's wish to be overlord of Singapura.
Paduka Sri Pikrama Wira died in 1362 after a reign of 15 years, and was succeeded by his son Sri Rama Wikerma.
Sri Rama Wikerma died in 1375, and was succeeded by his son, who acknowledged the overlordship of the Siamese over Temasek or Singapura. It became a vassal state of Siam.  

Inference: This source tells me that Singapore's defence was very weak before 1819.

Evidence: The evidence is 'the east Javanese kingdom of Majapahit claimed superiority over Singapore '  and that '[i]t attacked Singapura because Paduka Sri Pikrama Wira  showed indifference to Majapahit's wish to be overlord of Singapura.' that I have used to reach this answer. This is because if Singapore's defence was strong, this attack would not have happened. If Paduka Sri Pikrama Wira did not show indifference towards Majapahit's wish, the attack would not have occurred.

Source: "Most green ware shards found in Singapore have colours ranging from brownish green to greenish blue. Many of them originated from the Song Dynasty, but a significant number of green ware was also found to have originated from the Yuan and Ming Dynasties from the 13th to 15th century. 
Many of them bear decorations of fish or decorations of flowers such as the chrysanthemum and lotus. These indicate that they were highly ornamental and were probably not used as common table ware.
The large majority of high quality green ware was found at Fort Canning, where it was believed to be the site of the ancient king's palace. This supports the archaeologists' theory that the green ware was a highly valued product in the kingdom of Temasek."

Inference: This source tells me that Singapore had good political connections with China before 1819

Evidence: The evidence is '[m]any of them originated from the Song Dynasty, but a significant number of green ware was also found to have originated from the Yuan and Ming dynasties from the 13th to 15th century' that I have used to reach this answer. This is because Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties are Chinese Dynasties, which shows Singapore is on good terms with China. 'Many of them bear decorations of fish or decorations of flowers such as the chrysanthemum and lotus.' These flowers are important flowers in Chinese culture. 'The large majority of high quality green ware was found at Fort Canning, where it was believed to be the site of the ancient king's palace. This supports the archaeologists' theory that the green ware was a highly valued product in the kingdom of Temasek', which shows that Singapore had good political relationship and connections with China.

Evidence: The men are sitting on platforms that are an extension of their house like structures, suggesting that they live by the sea. This also suggests that they have to use boats to get around from place to place.

First, I realised that the defense of Singapore was very weak. We were protected by the Majapahit Kingdom. Furthermore we were also attacked twice by Java and Siam. Due to all of that happenings, the people that time depended on fishing and piracy because Singapore is being destroyed and ruined. So after that they took charge of Singapore by claiming superiority over our country.
