In our school, many students don't feel connected to each other, their teachers or the school. We need to figure out what our students need in order to meet their needs. Test scores are not improving, and our rigor keeps decreasing. Are we preparing kids for their next steps?

It is important that our design focus on student experiences and outcomes because these elements lead to students who can thrive no matter which road they take after graduation. Students who see relevance in what they are learning and the experiences they are learning through are more likely to be engaged, in attendance, and take ownership of their learning. Giving students these holistic experiences - no matter race, gender, or socioeconomic status - produces the outcomes our school district aims to achieve.

People in general value experiences. They then use those experiences to make connections in other aspects of life. It is through our experiences that we truly grow to love what we are learning. The experiences students have in their academic journey set the foundation for life long learning when those experiences are of high quality. High quality experiences will yield positive outcomes.
