The densely populated areas are right next to the fisheries, so one can assume that this is because of their high demand for food due to their large population.

Claim:

With a closer proximity to a high population and area of higher seafood consumption, there will be a greater amount and importance of fisheries.

Evidence:
https://mapmaker.nationalgeographic.org/cSHT193jZO8v93uh0ZZ6G7//?edit=hCFFjNuFuF5lC3ndsrWqCf

Reasoning:

More major fishing reasons are often seen near areas with higher population because there will be a higher demand for fish as a food resource. More people need food, and large fishing regions will develop near these areas to comply to the desires of the consumer. Also, the major fishing regions are located near the coast to supply the quantity of seafood necessary for the given demand from a high population. Therefore, it is clear there is an obvious positive correlation between seafood demand and population and the amount of fishing industries in that area.
