In the mechanical engineer sector, there are lessons and concepts like heat and temperature, or hydrostatic pressure which are hard to understand. This tool  shows a map of the world on wich you can add layers. There is a huge amount of layers in which you can choose from. For example: "sea level rise 1m" shows the areas that will be flooded when the sea level rises for (of course) 1 m.
