Studies show that increasing <a href="https://www.humanrightscareers.com/magazine/columbia-university-launches-course-on-womens-rights/">women’s participation in the economy</a> is good for the economy. In OECD countries, if the female employment rates were raised to match Sweden, it would lead to a GDP increase equivalent to $6 trillion. Gender pay gaps end up costing the economy.</div>]]></description>

With income options equal to men, mothers can offer education, healthcare, and healthier food to their children. Studies also show that reduced infant mortality is linked to higher levels of education. Children raised in gender-equal environments will do better than those raised with inequality.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1 in 3 women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence.<br><br></div><ul><li>The rates of <a href="https://www.unicef.org/media/files/FGMC_2016_brochure_final_UNICEF_SPREAD.pdf">girls between 15-19</a> who are subjected to FGM (female genital mutilation) in the 30 countries where the practice is concentrated have dropped from 1 in 2 girls in 2000 to 1 in 3 girls by 2017.</li></ul><div><br><br>Women not being able to drive in Saudi. <br><br>In 18 countries, <a href="https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/gender-equality/">men can legally forbid their wives from working</a>. <br><br>Even when women do work, the gender pay gap means they aren’t earning as much as men. Globally, <a href="https://www.payscale.com/data/gender-pay-gap">women only earn 81 cents</a> for every dollar that men earn. These barriers translate to <a href="https://www.worldbank.org/en/topic/gender/overview">$172 trillion in lost income potential</a>, the World Bank found. </div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In these times we need innovation more than ever, it is essential that women have access to education and managerial positions to evolve their economies to their potential.<br>They generally bring a more empathetic and social-oriented point of view - "When women have paid work, they invest as much as <a href="https://www.un.org/en/ecosoc/phlntrpy/notes/clinton.pdf">90% of their earnings back into their families</a> – compared to men, who reinvest only 35%"<br> *<em>(And more responsible with money - paying back their debts)  </em><br>All this of course brings sustainable economic development. </div>]]></description>
