My little sister has a birth defect that she has to deal with her whole entire life. Writing the story made me remember about all the times she was in the hospital and seeing her in tubes and hooked up to machines. Taking the time to write it, really made me think about how lucky I am to not have any birth defects or serious issues. It took a lot of work to put it all together and still have a happy ending because it is such a sad topic and my whole family was very sad when we found out. I am proud to say that even though it was a hard topic to write about I completed it. It made me realize that you have to be happy with yourself even though you believe somethings aren’t how you like them. I was a little confused on our prototype that we did and while I explained it in the seminar. Explaining it was a lot harder than when we actually invented it and presented it. I think our prototype is a good idea but I think what it was made out of wasn’t thought out completely. We contradicted ourselves once or twice. Maybe coming together and thinking about it more than we actually did it would’ve improved the seminar and the prototype we had. If there was more time as well I think that could’ve helped. The idea of a water bottle with a cup that can hold food and have a speaker inside is very good and many people would buy it. Annotating is a very good key to getting a paper one and receiving research from it. Although annotation is not one of my favorite things to do because it is hard at times, it taught me a lot and is a really good thing to do. As a writer I hope to develop more in the aspect of making sure my writing is very detailed and has events in it so that it is interesting. In college I will have to annotate a lot and have to write a lot and this class has taught me to do both and how to improve both. I can now attempt to write a story about a sad topic and have a happy ending to it, so the story is not sad overall. I can do a lot more annotations now than I could before as well. These are very important in college and I hope I grow even more in these aspects while being in college.

From freshmen year to junior year, I played volleyball. Coach Alfonso, always taught me and all of his players to never give up. He taught us that if it's really something we want than we will achieve it, and that without practice and hard work you won't get to where you need to. That taught me that regardless of what it is, that I should never give up on it if I feel strongly about it. Hard work and dedication will pay off once you realize that you are where you need to be. Throughout high school I have always tried to have really good grades and that is paying off this year, because after this year I will continue my education at GGC and hopefully transfer to Mercer to pursue a degree in nursing. I also realized that I have grown as a person, I have overcome things not everyone can. Loosing friends and gaining friends is also something that has happened in high school and even when you're friends with someone since kindergarten, everything can change. I have changed in a good way. I have changed to improve myself as a better person and I have been doing what is best for me.
