When I read the book I learned that the "greasers" were judged by their looks and were profiled to be bad people that do bad things. The author got this point across when she wrote that some of the characters would do "greaser" type things like drink or smoke.  The "Soch's" are stereotyped to be upper-class rich kids who get whatever they want and cant get in trouble.

After reading this book I realized that being apart of a crowd or a group doesn't make you a certain type of person. In saying that in the book shows that people look a certain way and act a certain way in society and there are prejudged thoughts. Throughout the book there I would stop to imagine in my head how the "greasers" felt, since they were poor and didn't act anything like the "soc's". I was really interested in how really the greasers were better people than the soc's.

The author used a lot of great descriptive words because she would describe the heated rivalries between the two groups. A visual would be when a few greasers and soc's get into a fight in the parking lot in the drive-in parking lot, and one of the boys whips out his "black handle switch blade". A literary example would be when the author talks about how the pony boy thinks about home when he ran away and how he misses it. A dramatic would be when Johnny tells Ponyboy that he (Johnny) killed Bob because the Socs were going to drown Ponyboy and beat up Johnny. Desperate and terrified, Ponyboy and Johnny hurry to find Dally Winston, the one person they think might be able to help them.

It really focuses on "Dress to Impress" and choosing the right crowd. It shows how both two differrent ideas come together nut fall under a bigger cause. One thought was supporting the idea that you should judge people by the way they look. The other main idea of what what it says is supporting the theory of not to judge people. 

After reading this article i have learned to prove and to dis-prove  this statement. When learning to Dis-prove the statement, the article brought up a valid point; "dress to Impress". It talked about how if you go into an interview looking nice, that it would be easier to get the job because you look more presentable. On the flipside of that statment you could e at a disadvantage to yourself if you didnt try at all on the outfit. When trying to prove the idea it gave an example of people and their friends. You may not be judged on what you look like, but the people around you may  influence others thoughts about you.

The author of the speech was unfound, but they gave some very valid statements. The author would use descriptive words in the interview portion of the essay to show what to wear and what not to wear. A great visual example in the speech was when the author wrote about the friend groups, and how they can really affect the ways people look at you. A second visual example was when they would talk about how people everyday are stereotyped by the way theyre dressed. It could show how they are as a person and what they do. One Of his videos he did a social experiment trying to see how people would react if he was trying to get a locked bike and steal it. He would pose a two characters one dressed like an average or a above average person. The other character was a homless man. As you can tell most people would likely not car if the regular man was taking care of it, but would probobly do somthing to the homless man. Well your right because thats what did happen and he did prove his theory of people judge others by their looks. 

After watching the video I really thought about how I would react to somthing like that too. In the video You would actually see people come help the regular guy character get his bike over and over again. The homless man character was already at a disadvantage because everyone thinks that he was up to no good already. This proves society ni majority think the same way and judge people by the way the look. 

The creator is very valuable in showing society their mean bias's and its showed me the same. I would think just like any of those other people. Already I can say since he had a video its full of visual examples but a couple were really dramatic. One extremly dramatic scene was when the homeless man was attacked for trying to get the bike. A visual was when you got to see the peoples ver blunt actions towards the two characters. There were many ways he got his point across too, like when he would tell people that it was just a prank or that this is a recording. The boy's shadow is a angel. The girls shadow is a devil. This cartoon is depicting those two peoples true colors.people all the time  are cloaked by their looks to show people how they really are as a person. This plays a big role in society today as well. we all like to dress a certain way and act a certain way and everyone else will have an opinion on it and then act a certain way.

After viewing this video I have really thought about how I dress and what people think of me. In the picture it really can be anybody, and it could be anything not just a shadow of a devil and a angel. I feel like if I stuck people in the picture  what you would really see. I feel more understanding of what the picture is trying to prove in its subliminal message. the boy looks bad on the outside but the girl looks good on the outside. After looking at the wall they're polar opposites.

I didn't figure out who created this cartoon but there is a lot of subliminal messages. The visual in this picture are both of the people. In the picture he is trying to be nice by going the girl an apple, but for some reason he looks like someone who wouldn't do that. We as a society have based judgment on the way that people dress. We've come up with so much different ways to dress. We even place predijuces on people like an unspoken racism but for clothes and looks. Ive learned and unproved and proved my thesis at the same time. Well I deffenetly think I proved my thesis or quote, because you can see something like that everyday even though you would least expect it. Its disproved to because in my Non Fiction search It actually helps to dress the part so really you could dress anyway you want and not be judged.
