The electrification transition aims to slow climate change by limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 to 2 degrees Celsius by reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Although electrification helps decarbonize society and improve energy efficiency, it encounters technical and economic challenges in achieving its goals, especially in terms of the construction and cost of charging facilities for electric vehicles. In addition, hydrogen energy has great potential as a clean energy source, but the current production cost is high, and the technology maturity needs to be improved. To promote the electrification transformation, the government needs to formulate corresponding policies to promote technological progress and reduce related costs to ensure the smooth progress of the electrification transformation.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bfG9e70fCybRrBhQhCgc5QM6Gl-Et3UgDh1wsiuz7AQ/edit?usp=sharing

Electrification is crucial for reducing carbon emissions and improving environmental sustainability. It requires prioritizing power needs by application, such as residential, transportation, and commercial. Nuclear and renewable energies are key to a stable, efficient grid. While electrification offers benefits like lower greenhouse gas emissions, challenges like infrastructure investment and technological advancement persist. Encouraging electric vehicle adoption in Ontario, despite short-term reliance on natural gas, aligns with long-term decarbonization and net-zero goals, demanding significant policy and infrastructure support.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HtsN7Md2qAERcM-odWKeLEO9udPCWXoBAm--o3yDtXk/edit?usp=sharing
