Having a drinking problem can damage relationships one has with others. It can deteriorate friendships, end marriages, and can heavily impact one's family relationships. Those with this problem are not able to make rational dicesions, which can, some of the times, lead to abuse and bad decisionmaking. Abuse can be carried out with children, spouses, or other friends as victims. It also impairs the happiness other people bring to them, which can cause them to become isolated and ignorant of the little things that happen. It can make then neglect important duties, such as taking care of their children.
