The coat of Arms preserves the memory of that decision made by the inhabitants, in the shade of an oak tree, to follow the excellent advice of a sailor called Leandro and return to their old homeland.

Following the last excavation campaign, many perfectly preserved sites emerged at the first of these, with a portico overlooking the sea and sections of walls built with thee opus listatum technique, terra-cotta floors and mosaics.
