The Cold War was a conflict between The United States(US), and Union of Soviet Socialist Republics(USSR). Though they never directly fought, but supported sides of opposing sides in a Proxy War, this began after the 2nd World War, between 1947 to 1991. The Cold War waged mainly on political, economic, and propaganda fronts. The United States mainly focused on stopping the spread of communism and limiting its influence where it already exists. The Cold War increased the US military power, making them become a "Superpower," had the world's strongest economy, this also made Americans a little paranoid.
