We had a great lesson today! We did Skills 2 Lesson 4 about quotation marks, but we did not make it to the second half yet to read the story from the book.

My students LOVE the workbook and get so excited to open it every day and see what there will be. They also love the readers that they can hold in their hand. We have been reading on the carpet together, and we really value that time!

Love these lessons!

I like the options for the digital slides as well as doing it with old fashioned chart paper. Students are engaged and there's plenty of hands on activity.

We are struggling with timing. As a bilingual class, it takes my students more time and more supports/practice to master a concept. I am having a lot of trouble fitting everything in, and I haven't even started Caminos.

This suits so many students- I have several ELLs and others who need support, these readers have helped every student feel empowered during this portion.

The students are enjoying the content! The loved the Fairy Tale and Tall Tale stories. The students are also enjoying the Bedtime Reader. We have noticed that students are doing a great job reintaining the information from the stories.

Learning curve for me- identifying moments for breaks

For Bilingual students or students who may be struggling with a learning disability, chunking has been working. Because one skills lesson contains a warm up, then a grammar lesson that is often unrelated, a practice page, and then continuing on to read a story, followed by another activity... it's a lot for my students to take in at once.
