We want to sustain a greener earth by using less plastic bottles and encouraging more recycling.

Why are human actions affecting the systems?

Our actions affect the systems because when we use plastic bottles, sometimes if we don’t recycle them properly, it can affect nature because animals may attempt to eat the bottles.

M-Measurable: What international organizations would assist your efforts?

The environmental protection agency could assist our efforts.

What change need to happen immediately?

Chatsworth needs to stop using plastic so that other schools can start doing the same thing so that this grows world wide.

A-Achievable: What change is achievable for you alone?

Together as a group we will be able to post something on a social media share it with our friends and ask the principal to stop chatsworth from using plastic.

What change is achievable with help from the UN?

As the United Nations are a very well known group, if they can manage to persuade the world that using plastic is bad with good enough points, the whole world will learn the cons of what they’re doing and will stop.

What change is achievable with help from the public?

With the help from the public when one of us posts that chatsworth has stopped using plastic because it is not good for animals, humans and the environment on a social media someone from the public might either post it to their friends or tell their school to stop using plastic too.

If we encourage recycling and prove our points on why using plastic is bad, our minds would develop to be used to recycling and using less plastic.

We can make advertisements to raise awareness of the issue, but the video will have to be short and interesting, as people may get bored.

Nature:
When plastic is being made, it pollutes the environment which takes a negative impact on the environment.

Economics:
Plastic requires a lot of materials to be made, and the materials are very expensive to purchase.

Society:
A lot of people are not recycling the plastic properly which is bad for the environment, because if the plastic isn't re-used, more of it will have to be created.

Well-being:
The pollution created by burning plastic is damaging to our lungs, and plastic is full of damaging chemicals that may leech into our water.

We chose globalization and sustainability because it teaches students about how we are responsible for the wellbeing of our planet and our actions have consequences, such as the usage of plastic has a negative impact on the environment because of the pollution created while making it.

What information do you need for your audience?

We can give our audience good things and bad things about plastic so that we can show them that plastic isn't good and should start being either recycled or people should stop using plastic. We could show them videos, graphs and photos about the amount of plastic being recycled and the amount of people not recycling plastic.

What events should they know about?

People are unaware of the cons of using plastic water bottles and the negative impact it has on the environment.

What indicators should you use to educate your audience?

To make plastic we burn fossil fuels burning fossil fuels creates pollution. Most of us throw away our rubbish on the floor or in the bin that mostly flies away and lands in the nature where animals eat that and die because of eating it.

What are the important trends and relationships?

A lot of people don't recycle their plastic bottles.

What human actions must change?

Humans must learn that plastic carries a negative impact on the environment as well as wildlife.

How will these changes create sustainable systems?

Our campaign for change can sustain life because when we use less plastic the earth becomes less polluted.

You can help by sharing on twitter, google plus, and other social media how Chatsworth has stopped using plastic because it affects us, the environment and wildlife. You can also help by talking about this issue with your school or university/college.

By posting things on social media (eg. twitter, facebook, instagram, tumblr, google+) about stopping plastic, you can raise awareness of the issue. If you can, it would be great if you could also write down some reasons why plastic is bad.

Our campaign does not require money donations.

You can make changes in your school by talking to teachers and students about how using plastic pollutes the environment and help spread awareness of this issue.

If it gets up to a point when a drink company sees that not many people are buying their drinks because they use plastic, it might be helpful if they vote for us instead of voting for MORE PLASTIC!

You can make posts on social media so that people will realise the truth about plastic and will change their mind about plastic. You could also write bad things or good things about plastic for us to use so that we can tell others to stop using plastic with what they wrote about.

Your actions will help our campaign as it is new and does not have many supporters.

If a lot of people start posting things on social media about plastic, people will see the bad side of plastic usage and will not purchase any more plastic.
