         <description><![CDATA[<div>A global trend for volcanic activity is that most of it is concentrated on the edge of continents with sporadic spotting in the oceanic areas. In addition, most activity falls in narrow lines that follow the boundaries of the continents. This applies to the North American plate because it follows the same trend. Most of the volcanic activity is in a line following the west plate boundary. Also on the east side of the plate there are a few volcanoes spotted throughout the ocean.</div>]]></description>

We also can observe that mountain ranges tend to be clustered, even across continents. In regards to the ocean, we see that there are not many mountain ranges in the South Atlantic and Southern Ocean and that the Ocean is very deep. The Artic Ocean on the other hand, has a much shallower ocean.</div>]]></description>

On other plates, volcanoes are mainly found around the pacific ocean plate and where it meets continental boundaries. Although, in Africa there is a divergent boundary that creates many volcanoes by pushing up the earth on either side. The high level Earthquakes are more or so near the boarder of Chile. The Red represents the amount of Earthquakes that occur in that specific area and how large they are. The bigger the dot the larger the Earthquake. This shows that the Plate boundaries are converging near the South African Plate boundary. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Looking at the presented data, an interesting formation is found along the ocean floor of the African and South American plate, it makes a trail of red that disperses into yellow, then green, and then blue along its sides. It can be concluded that this is because the plate boundaries are converging and is pushing the ocean floor upwards, creating a "reverse ridge" of sorts. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Across the world, there are many different levels of earthquakes resulting in a large (red) sized  earthquake and a smaller (green) sized earthquakes. There is a common pattern occurring, which  is that there a high level of larger earthquakes on and around the different fault lines around the world, as well as smaller earthquakes, surrounding the fault lines, and magnitudes aren’t as big. On the North American plate there are a high level of large sized earthquakes occurring on the left side of the continent. This is due to the running San Andreas fault that lies on this continent. As well as the line of red, high level earthquakes, there are smaller, green sized earthquakes felt around the state of Alaska which surround those larger felt earthquakes.</title>

Over all i chose the African plate and with where the earthquakes happen it mostly outlines a set of Africa in the fact of that is lines up eye to eye with a plate boundary witch is where the activity mostly comes from, but you can also have places with underwater activity from volcanoes or plate movement</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Looking at the map for geochronology I found that the world as a whole has more red and orange tones which shows the landmasses are relatively young versus the little amount of blue tones which indicate older landmasses. Also, looking at the South American plate I found it has more red tones which indicates that it a fairly young with some blue tones going along the edge showing that some of it is relatively older compared to the rest of the continent.</div>]]></description>

The volcanoes of south america are part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. South America has one of the highest active volcano in the world that lies along the Argentina-Chile border. Comparing it with the South American Plate, the west side of South america experiences earthquakes due to the plate tectonic boundaries but the eastern edge still lies at a divergent boundary.</div>]]></description>
