I think that the rules are not clear and straightforward to certain students. Moreover, I usually don’t feel safe when telling an adult since they will judge me. I have experienced some forms of physical abuse, and after it was resolved, a certain teacher started threatening me to show footage that I supposedly “punched the kid” first to the entire grade. I think that there should be stricter enforcement and actual change on the student‘s record in terms of bullying. Some people have done bullying repeatedly, but we still see them at school.

Sometimes, people do not want to be friends with new people, and some teachers and adults are quite biased, which makes school not as enjoyable. I have heard some people being called slurs and called terrible things.

I think the current bullying policy is a good start because it shows that the school is trying to take the issue seriously, but I also feel like it could be improved. Sometimes the rules are there, but not always enforced the same way, which makes students feel like the policy isn’t strong enough. I believe it should focus more on actually protecting the people who are being bullied, giving them support, and making sure everyone feels safe, not just on punishing the bullies.

The teachers didn't even do anything that serious. All they asked the person to do was say sorry, and it's done. There isn't any punishment or consequence for the person. They don't take it so seriously, and I think it should be improved.

But they could work on adding more details/rules since there are various ways of bullying someone. Bullying can seriously harm a person and affect someone's life, leading to death. So, my overall conclusion is it's nice, but more could be added.

I get bullied all the time, but barely any adults at school take it seriously. Even if I report it to the teacher, it just gets brushed off easily without any consequences, no matter how much it affected the victim. All the school policy says is "No bullying!" However, many people ignore that rule, which only worsens the problem. In addition, many teachers go way too easy or too harsh on the victims or the bullies, and they sometimes even get even more mad if the victim fights back, which is honestly unfair. This proves that the current bullying policy is extremely easy to ignore and barely solves the problem.

The policy in my opinion is undermanaged and weak. Countless of students have been discriminated, gossiped about, etc. Yet no action has been taken. Ive been a victim of discrimination and blackmail, along with manipulation. There is barely any evidence due to there not being enough security. Its unclear. Teachers can be quite inequal to the victim and the bully, helping the bully get away with no genuine consequences while the victim will keep being discriminated. Some teachers misunderstand a ton, which means they'll be able to go harsh on the victim and discriminate which can impact a huge chunk of mental health. The bullying policy is weak and barely does anything most of the time. Please.

I think the current bullying policy is a good starting point because it shows that the school recognizes bullying as a serious issue and has rules in place to discourage it. In many cases, the policy does help reduce obvious bullying, since most students are aware that there will be consequences if they get caught. This creates a safer environment for many students and reminds people that bullying is not acceptable. However, while the idea of the policy is strong, I believe it still has many weaknesses when it comes to being enforced and followed through consistently.

One of the main problems is that not all forms of bullying are taken seriously. Physical bullying is usually dealt with quickly, but other types such as gossip, exclusion, online bullying, and verbal harassment often go unnoticed or are considered less important. This creates a situation where victims might not feel supported, because they see that unless the bullying is very obvious, it is often ignored or downplayed. In reality, these “smaller” types of bullying can have long-term effects on students’ mental health, self-esteem, and motivation at school.

Another issue is that students may be afraid to report bullying because they don’t trust that the teachers or administrators will actually do something about it. In some cases, students have reported incidents but felt like no real action was taken, or that the teachers handled it in a way that made the victim feel even more uncomfortable. Sometimes the teacher might treat both the bully and the victim the same, telling them to “just get along,” which can feel very unfair. This makes victims feel like their experiences are not valid and that they won’t be protected if they speak up again.

The policy also doesn’t always make consequences clear. If students don’t know exactly what will happen when bullying occurs, both the bully and the victim might be left confused. A strong policy should not only outline the steps that will be taken against bullying but should also make sure those steps are consistent for everyone. Without consistency, some bullies might escape punishment because of favoritism or because there isn’t enough evidence, while victims feel discouraged from seeking help in the future.

I also think the policy should do more than just punish bullies. There needs to be education for both bullies and victims. Bullies often behave that way because of their own struggles or problems, and if the school only punishes them without helping them change, the cycle of bullying may continue. Victims, on the other hand, need counseling, support groups, or safe spaces where they can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. A truly strong bullying policy would focus on prevention, education, and healing, not just punishment.

Finally, teachers and staff should be trained better in how to handle bullying situations. It is not enough to simply have a policy written down. Teachers need to be able to recognize the signs of bullying, intervene effectively, and treat each case with fairness. If teachers show favoritism or don’t take every case seriously, students will lose faith in the system.

In conclusion, I think the current bullying policy is a step in the right direction, but it is not strong or effective enough in practice. It needs clearer rules, more consistent consequences, better support for victims, and more education for everyone. Only then will students feel truly safe and respected at school.
