I would like to pursue an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at the prestigious Universities in Hungary such as Budapest University of Technology and Science, and University of Debrecen. I also plan to follow up with a two-year master’s degree after my graduation.

When I was at high school, I studied and enjoyed my subjects in technology and physics. I become interested in how building and constructions are made and I even made small building models which gave me insights in construction basics . Building models helped me to learn the importance of being patient. My education is largely focused on this mindset: function over form, stability over showmanship.

At the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, I have taken more elective classes in  Civil Engineering because I wanted to have a comprehensive view on how designs are made and implemented in practice. For example, I have worked on three extra-credit residential design projects under the supervision of my engineering professors Dr. Otgonbayar.P and Dr. Hishgee.R to accelerate my research and education.

Being accepted into this program will not only help ease my current financial situation, but it will also allow me to pursue my dream of becoming a practice-oriented specialist with right skill sets to add value to the construction sector development in Mongolia. Apart from gaining academic knowledge at Hungarian universities, I will also improve my hard and soft skills as well as gain practical experience from my internships at multinational companies like Dewind Team KTF, and Krisomat KFT etc.

I wanted to become an engineer to create accessible, and affordable housing opportunities for underprivileged communities. Living in a huge city, I have seen countless rental properties available but very few of them are for sale at affordable price for fresh graduates and first-time buyers. This is the case in many towns throughout Mongolia, especially areas with low standard of living. My goal is to build neighborhoods of sufficient starter homes that can help people to create equity, avoid excessive debts, and secure financial stability for their futures.

For this summer, I am offered to do an internship at Us-Erdene LLC which is a fast growing construction contractor for internationally recognized corporations such as KFC and Pizza Hut. I expect to learn from experienced engineers about how buildings with highest international standards are constructed on time and on budget.

Upon completion of my undergraduate academic career in Hungary, I would like to start my own engineering firm with main focus on developing inexpensive yet high-quality apartments.
