         <description><![CDATA[<div>In chapter 17, page 236-238, Atticus asks Mr. Ewell if he can write, he says yes. Atticus makes him write his name down. Turns out Mr. Ewell is left handed, and since Mayella's left eye is bruised Atticus seems to be trying to imply that it was actually Mr. Ewell who beat Mayella. <br>-Brynn</div>]]></description>
