Hi, all! A Colorado native, I've lived all over the US (California, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Virginia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Illinois). I spent a good part of my 20s in Santiago, Chile teaching English and doing research in my areas of interest (sociolinguistics, second language acquisition). I've taught Spanish classes at Gonzaga for the last 12 years, and I'm really excited to teach my first English-language class at GU on the detective novel and crime stories from Latin America. I love reading, running, hiking, watching way too much Netflix, exploring new places, and trying new foods.
