By pure definition, a numeric grade should demonstrate the percentage of mastery, on skills or content, a student has demonstrated on a particualr assessment. A 70 means that the student has mastered 70% of the selected criteria, a 90 means 90%, etc. My concern, however, is that the grades I assign do not accurately reflect this.
