Through this, Michael gains opportunities - of a life time - for young female players, such as; professional teams, tours and academies. Without his coaching, the W-league teams such as; Brisbane Roar, Melbourne City and Canberra United would not have skillful players and as a result of this, it largely affects the Matilda's. Without Michael's help, we would not have the top quality players, appearing on TV, representing Australia. This really helped me transition from playing with boys to girls as in a few years time I would eventually have to play with the girls. I enjoyed shadow playing for the girls so much that the next year I decided to play with the u13 NPL as an official player. Through this, I was scouted by Football Queensland -Thanks to Michael- and was put forward for the Queensland team. Although I was not successful due to a soccer injury and subsequent surgery, I came back to Power NPL and had to trial for the U15 NPL, this was a big challenge as I would have to play up an age group, however, Michael always motivated me to do my best, and because of this, I was selected for the team. This really inspired the younger girls such as the u13s and u15s to play as well as they did.
