Since I'm looking for state-specific laws relating to real estate, property ownership and maintenance, premise liability, and negligence, I would consult the Kentucky Revised Statutes for standing laws that apply to this case.

You could also consult the Kentucky Administrative Regulations, but since Jane Smith is not making claims against a business, employer, or industry, I think it would be most effective to focus my research on Kentucky Statutes first.

I would utilize Michie's Kentucky Revised Statutes General Index to search for the same terms I used above, and record any standing laws that I feel David and Darlene Jones could have violated.
