I think my main takeaway is the idea of being more self-distanced from situations in my classroom, rather than self-immersed. I have to practice stepping back and seeing the bigger picture in my classroom more often and reacting or managing things more effectively. 

I would also say another big takeaway for me is the idea of using the proper words to appropriately challenge my students.
