God can show different images. Most of the time I often have different descriptions and understanding of how I see Him. From the movie, the images that I saw were God is unbiased, He sees everyone as equal. He looked and called Zaccheus shows that He is also a humble God. Though numbers of words can describe how He was in the movie but at the end of the day what stands out the most is how much He loves us, how much he loves Zaccheus. This love which He shows in different ways

As His child, I myself admit of being sinful. I am aware of my shortcomings as a human being and as His daughter. I have hurt dozens. I have done hundreds or more stupid things. I have been out of the context and has forgotten Him at some point of my life. But He has never let me down. He never left my side. Protecting me, guiding me, and forgiving me no matter what happens.

How forgiving He is, is the image that resonates to me the most. He does not weigh our sins yet He keeps on forgiving. Big or small, as long as we recognize our sins, He will forgive us. He does not choose who He forgives and blesses. Rich or poor, strong or weak, of high or low position, for Him everyone is important. Everyone should be forgiven, loved and blessed.

This image of His is I believe something that I should understand and reflect on. That if He the creator himself can be forgiving, I should also be. From forgiving I can see the real world, gives a peace in my heart that would help me to live a fuller and happier life. This is the kind of peace that God himself wishes for all of us.

In the clip, it shows the struggle of the blind man, repentance of Zacchaeus and his change of heart. I can see the portrayal of mercy, forgiveness and salvation in Jesus Christ as He rapprochements the poor blind man begging for mercy and gave His forgiveness to the rich sinful man, Zacchaeus.

The image that resonates me the most is how forgiving he is. Zacchaeus is sinful man still Jesus forgives him. It doest matter how many times we failed him, how heavy or small our sins are, as long us we believe in him and ask for His forgiveness, Jesus will never ever get tired in forgiving us all.

Someone told me that "Jesus can be found by everyone who seeks him". For me, it means that there is nothing can stop someone drawing theirseves closer to Him, in this case, I can see myself in Zacchaeus.

It is so sad but it's true that sometimes we're out of attention to the most important in our life which is Jesus, we focus more in getting all the things we wanted than what we really need. Sometimes we are not contented with the things and blessings we have in life. It seems like there is still something missing, emotionally and spiritually. Unknowingly, we realize that Jesus is the only one who will fill the missing piece we've been looking for the whole time.

God unceasingly shows us His love for us and is unconditional. God’s love comes in all forms. From what we have watched, I can tell that the image of Jesus Christ is that he will find us and never forsake us. “You will seek me and find me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13) Just like what took place in the movie, Zacchaeus sought for Jesus so he was also found. This made me realize that whatever people think of who we are, what matters most is how God sees us. Jesus went to Zacchaeus and touched his heart similarly to how He came to touch our hearts. Zacchaeus was a wealthy man but he chose to surrender and donate his possessions to the needy. The material possessions that we have will not really save us. It shows us that Jesus is our salvation. What really matters is for us to gather treasures in His kingdom through serving our brothers and sisters. Oftentimes, we feel blinded from the earthly things that we have and tend to become greedy but I learned that with God’s love for us, everything is enough. I learned that Jesus came for all of us to guide and direct us especially when there are moments when we felt lost. No matter how much we may seem to hurt God, He still never gets tired of us. We just have to surrender to Jesus Christ and trust in His great love. God’s love is the most powerful of all things. Amidst what we have all done which may turn us away from him, God still openly accepts us. After all, we still are all God’s children and we just need to find our way back into His arms. It came upon me that whenever we feel down or lost, we can always seek and ask God for He is merciful.

Change is for everyone

Change, it is simple yet a very powerful word from which all of us can relate and share personal stories to. Everything changes as change is an inevitable thing that anyone or anything undergoes consciously or unconsciously. The best example for the word change is man, as we walk with four legs we are pure, innocent, and free from sinful acts and as we change into walking with two legs we become more exposed to sinful deeds that may influence us, but as we are gradually learning to walk with three legs we tend to repent and change again. However, not in all cases that we only learn to change for the better as we grow older sometimes we are just waiting or seeking for triggers or signs for us to change. In the story of Zaccheus and Jesus Christ, Zaccheus maybe a very sinful man in the eyes of the others, but I believe that he is also a troubled man and the sins that he have committed are his scapegoat to his chaotic view of the world. However, I believe that Zaccheus also seeks for a sign for him to change and that is why despite of his incapability to see, he pursued to be able to have a glimpse of Jesus Christ. And just as Jesus Christ approached him, the button that would trigger his changing for the better is pushed. With this being said, I believe that the image of Jesus Christ in the story is comparable to a signal or symbol for us to experience holistic change.

In my case wherein Jesus served as a signal for me to become a better person, it was the time when I was going overboard with my procrastinating and proud attitude and I have realized that I am already affecting the lives of the people that surrounds around me negatively. I think that time Jesus talked to me in the form of my best friend giving me an earful scolding about my attitude and how should I change and when I saw her concern that was the moment I knew that I need to change because I am already affecting the persons closest to me which was never my intention. Similarly to Zaccheus, my actions caused people around me to think negatively about me and then, just like the image of Jesus in the story, my best friend bravely signaled me to change for the better.

Change is for everyone and the chances for us to change is innumerable, but the time for us to change is limited. Oftenly, it is our choice on whether we are to change positively or negatively. Change.

Jesus Christ is a shepherd who will never leave a single sheep be separated from His flock. His mission is to seek for and save the LOSTS and bring them back to God’s loving arms. All of us are sinners but if we repent sincerely, forgiveness will be bestowed upon us.

The video clearly portrayed how a lost soul, whose name is Zacchaseus, was redeemed as he sought for Jesus Christ in the midst of his life filled with uncertainty and sins. His transformation amazed me how forgiving HE was and reminded me to view people shunned by the society for their misdemeanors and crimes in a different light.

I am not different from Zacchaeus. I commit sins, made stupid decisions and yes I am not perfect. But Jesus Christ accept me for who I am. For what I am. He forgives me for what I have done. He always understands. He never left my side. He see me as a unique and equal being as I always think that I am not enough. And for me, we just have to seek Him and that we need to restore our faith in God. There is hope and in the end if ever I lost my way, I know that God will be my beacon of light. He will bring me back to his flock and I know I will never lose my way again.

Zacchaeus struggles mirrors the struggles of my existence. Our lives are intertwined by our imperfections, dilemmas, obstacles, and sacrifices that may hinder us from attaining success. Despite this, the presence of God in our lives made life easier.

The last lines in the presentation echo the voice of God telling us that we don’t have a perfect life. Still, if we surrender and sacrifice everything for the love of God everything will fall on its perfect place. Whenever I feel the pressure of adjusting in my new life, I draw strength from knowing that God is always there. Whenever I feel incomplete and worse that other people, I know He will accept me for who I am and love me despite my imperfections. I am unique in my own way and I’ll get through this chaotic life by following His plans for me.
