Andy Clayton
The course has been eye-opening for me, particularly with relation to various aspects of upbringing, and the close connection to parents having such a strong effect on the relationships we have with people as we grow older.
There were also a number of things I saw in the course that linked with things I have tried to do as a parent intuitively, for example, I always tried to be calm when my children were scared or hurt themselves, as I realised that they checked my reaction first and therefore had an indication of the seriousness of the event. My oldest children are into puberty now, but my youngest child has just turned five, and it has been very interesting to review her recent steps and behaviour, as well as learning more about the changes she will be going through soon from a psychological point of view.

Tatiana Letodiani Polack.
This course became a real gift for me, both for my mother and for the teacher. Each session brought a meaningful understanding of many events that took place during the development of my children, as well as during work with schoolchildren. Of course, some of my responses were intuitively correct; some were not. I can admit that such a course would be desirable for all young people before they become parents.
My eldest son is 22, the youngest 15. Of course, I see and remember those moments when I was wrong with them; more precisely, I found an ineffective solution to problems. But I have a hope that with Jeremy's help, I can still fix something that it's not too late.
Of course, this course is essential for a modern teacher in a modern heterogeneous classroom, not only to effectively manage the class but also so that the knowledge that we, as teachers, want to pass on to our students, is assimilated more fully.
Moreover, I want to add that this course is an essential addition to other courses taken during study, such as teaching methodology, the methodology for working with students with LD.
Thanks to this course, all the knowledge gained sparkled with new facets.
I want to thank all the creators of the course, and I want to express special thanks to Dr. Neta for her lively, full of energy, expressive videos.

This course has given me so much understanding and reflection to my own motherhood, it gave me understanding to subjects I had a lot on my mind and had a lot of questions. So, I would like to share with you a post I uploaded some time ago on Facebook. "I just wanted flowers ... or life as a single mom" So no, I was not asked to make a family photo for kindergarten (fabricated or real) because my children are already really big ..And no, I will not accept a work of art that the children have prepared and invested for hours in kindergarten ... (maximum pile of laundry under their bed ..)And it is likely that my sons will not sing to me in a sweet voice "Mother is dear to me" .. because instead they will be connected to headphones and listen to music according to their personal taste ..And yes, I will get home and the same pile of laundry will still be waiting for me and the pile of dishes in the sink. But ... I know that raising two children alone brought me to be the mother I am today. That the early mornings every day to make sandwiches and take children kindergarten / school on my own made me more efficient and organized and very independent. That the early picking up home from kindergarten/school and the fun at the playground until dark nurtured my connections with other wonderful mothers and gave me quality time with my children ...And in the evening when they went to bed I sang a song (sometimes also a story) and when the house became quiet I started another day of work (laundry, cooking ...) and only then finally I had a little time for myself ...And now that my children have grown up, playground time has become a lively time to talk about any topic and also about their private lives or watching a movie we all love ... and I go to bed long before them ... and I have time to study, classes, friends and entertainment ...But I know that my children trust me, that they cherish me for every little thing I do for them, that they consider my opinion, occasionally remind me that I need to let go, and tell me in their special way how much they love me. Beloved Carmel and Eilon, thank you for choosing me from all the mothers in the world to be your own!!(The picture down below is of me and my 2 sons taken 15 years ago) 😊 Thank you Dr. Neta Bransky for a most in lighting course.

Secure attachment can nurture independence and higher self-esteem. At a later stage of my baby's development, will try to be an authoritative parent! As I deal with policies and programmes for children at work, this course also helped me to understand some of fundamental theories behind what we do.

I am an analytical type who analyzes things in order to understand them, so as part of my life experience, I have already understood some of the material being taught here by myself. I was happy to discover more pieces in the endless puzzle of the human psyche that gave me the ability to understand additional motives for the way we behave and thus also respond more correctly to events and give them a more appropriate solution. Thank you for the opportunity.

Thank you for this amazing and complete course! I reflected about my acts as a mother, as a teacher, as a daughter. It made me understand many things about my past, and now as a mother, I can see that I have a bigger challenge than what I thought. It is so important to the children's development, every experience, every environment, relationships, so much to thing and understand, and improve to show them the right track to follow! This is a course that we should finish and do it again, every time our children go to the next step. If I would have done such a course before becoming a mother, I would have been much different, act different and better with my kids and students. Like we say, it's never to late to change! Thank you very much Dr. Neta and Shmuel.

First I would like to express my overall insight about the way the course has been constructed: It was amazing the way Dr. Neta Bransky took us all through baby Jeremy's journey, from inside the mother's womb till he is a grown up child. The videos at each introduction, and in each section, were very clear and took me into the story as a part of it. At first I thought it will be difficult to be engaged to an online course of this kind, but it was made in such a way that it made the learning process easy and understandable.
Second is my personal reflection on the content of the course. I have 4.5 years old twins and while taking the course, at each session, I started to remember the behaviors since they were babies, and realized now why it was this way and what I could have thought and behaved myself if I took this course 5 years ago (:
I got many answers to questions I had before. Funny part is the arguments I had with my husband on certain behaviors. I kept saying it is the age. Now I know I won (:
Thanks for this super informative, and enjoyable, course.
Vered Daniel

If we want a better society and mentally healthier ergo happier citizens this kind of courses should be a part of standard school program. The level of psychological ignorance is staggering worldwide. Psychology is not quantum physics, it should be taught early in life because it gives one precious tools to sort out basic problems.

There are definitely things I will take away from this course as I think about my own (potential) journey into parenting, and things I am now aware of that I need to correct based on how I was raised. I think courses like this should be more widely available to help kids in particular be set up for a different future, and for adults to reconcile what may have happened in their pasts.

As for the course content, a lot of it was new to me, I had never studied psychology before, nor developmental psychology. Although it seems to me extremely important for teaching practice. I am interested in biology, so I was interested in the first section on prenatal development (however, there was little new information for me there).

I studied the section on reflexes with great interest. I don't understand why they don't talk about this in courses for young parents. It is important for any adult to understand which reflexes are indicators of health and normal development of the nervous system of a baby of a certain age, when this or that reflex should appear or disappear. This is important both from the point of view of interaction with the baby and from the point of view of early diagnostics.

I have three teenage children, and in this course I learned, somewhat belatedly, about really important things, things that you intuitively feel, but don’t know that there is a strong scientific basis for them. In particular, it was very important and useful to study ways to set boundaries for preschoolers. Social learning theory ( by Bandura), developed in the mid-20th century, is still very relevant today, in a society where children learn to test boundaries for strength very early. Subsequently, the skill of setting boundaries, but in a way that respects the child’s personality, will be needed by a teacher who deals with students of all ages.

On the course page where video clips are posted that demonstrate the empathy and admiration children feel towards their parents, I was simply hooked and could not stop watching. And then I thought, did I always behave in such a way that my children, mirroring my behavior, received only the best from me? The same observation applies to the teacher, because the teacher is an important adult for schoolchildren. Therefore, consciously or unconsciously, students copy his style, his favorite words, his manner of behavior. We as teachers must always think about this.

After completing this course, I can say that I have definitely begun to better understand children's behavior, as well as the consequences that this or that behavior of adults leads to. This knowledge places a huge responsibility on us.

Seeing the image of a family setting up a tent together reminded me of how this course helped me understand the foundations of human development, just like a tent needs each part to stand strong, children need support at every stage. From Freud's focus on unconscious motivations to Erikson's view of psychosocial challenges, and Bowlby's and Ainsworth's insights into attachment, I've learned how essential it is to truly see the whole child, in both educational and emotional contexts. One key takeaway for me was how early relational experiences shape personality and how teachers and caregivers can play a stabilizing role, especially in moments of vulnerability. It also made me reflect on my childhood and the emotional needs I had growing up. What I'd love to continue learning is how to apply these theories in inclusive, diverse classrooms, especially with children who are neurodivergent or come from high-stress environments.

Song that came to mind: "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers, because every child (and adult) needs someone to lean on.

Visual metaphor: A tent can't stand with just one pole. It takes teamwork, patience, and a strong base, just like human development.

As a new teacher, I always try to put myself in my students' shoes when planning a lesson. I want them to feel engaged and to learn something new in every class. As I moved through each section of this course, I often found myself reflecting on the connection between the theoretical foundations presented and the practical, everyday experiences we encounter in real life. It is fascinating how psychological thought has developed over time, and how it continues to shape our understanding of child development today. The course allowed me to see how theories from different periods reflect changing views of childhood, learning, and behavior. Concepts that once seemed abstract now feel more relevant, as I can connect them to real situations I observe in the classroom.

Thank you very much for an insightful course!

Alisa Dvoryaninov

The image of a family working together to set up a tent serves as a powerful metaphor for what I learned in Developmental Psychology: A Journey of Growth Within Relationships. Just as the family members collaborate to create a safe and supportive shelter, human development occurs within relationships that provide guidance, security, and opportunities for growth.

One of the most important lessons I gained from this course is that development is a lifelong process shaped by our interactions with others. From infancy through adulthood, relationships with parents, caregivers, peers, teachers, and partners influence how we think, feel, and behave. Learning about attachment theory helped me understand how early emotional bonds can affect later social and emotional development. The image reflects this idea, as the adults provide support and structure while the children actively participate and learn through experience.

The course also deepened my appreciation for the ecological perspective of development. Human growth does not occur in isolation; it is influenced by family, culture, community, and historical context. The camping scene illustrates this interconnectedness, with each person contributing to a shared goal. Similarly, developmental psychologists emphasize that individuals and their environments continuously shape one another throughout life.

Another valuable takeaway was the importance of resilience. Development is not always a smooth path. Challenges, transitions, and setbacks are part of life, yet supportive relationships can help individuals adapt and thrive. This insight will serve me well personally and professionally by reminding me to seek support, nurture meaningful connections, and view difficulties as opportunities for growth.
