Our school is the "7th Primary School of Agii Anargyri" and is located in the municipality of Agii Anargyri in Athens, Greece.The school is attended by students aged from 6 to 11 years old. Recently, our school was named after the great Greek writer "Alexandros Papadiamantis", who dedicated his life to literature and education.

Un disegno può viaggiare da una scuola all’altra e diventare una storia creata insieme! Come partecipare: 1. Una scuola realizza un disegno ispirato a Gaudí, ai suoi colori, ai mosaici e alle forme fantastiche. Il disegno può essere già completo: non occorre lasciarlo incompiuto. 2. Pubblica il disegno in questa colonna come immagine o PDF e lo dedica a una scuola partner. 3. La scuola che lo riceve immagina come prosegue il viaggio: dove arriva il drago? Chi incontra? Quali luoghi o dettagli fantastici scopre? I bambini aggiungono una continuazione artistica al disegno, su un altro foglio o in formato digitale, conservando e valorizzando l’opera di partenza. 4. La scuola partner pubblica qui il risultato, insieme a un titolo inventato dai bambini e ai nomi delle due scuole. Non è necessario che ogni scuola lavori con tutte le altre: basta uno scambio tra due scuole, oppure più scambi se lo desiderate. Raccoglieremo in questa colonna i disegni di partenza e le opere nate dalla collaborazione. Un disegno, due scuole, una storia che viaggia!

A drawing can travel from one school to another and become a story created together! How to take part: 1. One school creates a drawing inspired by Gaudí, his colours, mosaics and imaginative shapes. The drawing can already be complete: there is no need to leave it unfinished. 2. Share the drawing in this column as an image or PDF and dedicate it to a partner school. 3. The receiving school imagines how the journey continues: where does the dragon go? Who does it meet? What wonderful places or details does it discover? The children create an artistic continuation, on another sheet or digitally, keeping and celebrating the original artwork. 4. The partner school shares the result here, with a title chosen by the children and the names of both schools. Not every school needs to work with every partner: one exchange between two schools is enough, or you can arrange more exchanges if you wish. This column will become a gallery of original drawings and artworks created together. One drawing, two schools, one travelling story!

Evaluating what we have discovered about Gaudí

This simple worksheet can be used by partner schools to check some of the knowledge acquired during the activities about Antoni Gaudí.
Children recognise some of his most famous works, match pictures with their names, observe shapes, colours and details, and express their personal preference.

Il gioco è iniziato dalla scuola spagnola Ramon Castelltort School di Igualada, Barcellona. Nella loro presentazione il draghetto si è nascosto e i nostri bambini lo hanno trovato! Oggi registreranno una breve frase per dire dove si trovava. Ora il gioco continua: abbiamo nascosto anche noi il draghetto nella presentazione della nostra scuola. Guardate attentamente il video, trovatelo e dite con una breve frase dove si trova. Poi una nuova scuola potrà nasconderlo nella propria presentazione e lanciare la sfida a un’altra classe partner. Questi brevi video sono stati realizzati direttamente dai bambini. Per alcune scene siamo partiti da un disegno colorato dagli alunni. Per tutelare la loro privacy, ogni bambino è stato rappresentato attraverso un avatar. È stata inoltre preparata un’immagine di Antoni Gaudí, poi ritagliata e inserita nell’app Puppet Pals insieme all’avatar dell’alunno. I bambini hanno quindi costruito la scena, mosso i personaggi sullo schermo e recitato il breve dialogo, registrando direttamente la propria voce. In questo modo hanno utilizzato ciò che avevano imparato su Gaudí per creare una piccola rappresentazione digitale, unendo disegno, oralità, drammatizzazione e tecnologia. How we created the Puppet Pals videos These short videos were created directly by the children. For some scenes, we started from a drawing coloured by the pupils. To protect their privacy, each child was represented by an avatar. An image of Antoni Gaudí was also prepared, cut out and inserted into Puppet Pals together with the child’s avatar. The children then created the scene, moved the characters on the screen and performed the short dialogue, recording their own voices. In this way, they used what they had learned about Gaudí to create a small digital performance combining drawing, speaking, drama and technology.

This week, the continuation of our project is dedicated to architect Gaudí. Using a cooperative work method: expert reading, yesterday we read part of the informative text. In groups, we studied that section until we understood the content well. Today, we went as experts to explain the content to the other children. This way, we learned the full text from each other, and it turned out well ! Everyone did a great job because at the end of the exchange there was a quiz. We learned a lot! Almost all the quiz questions were answered correctly!

Over two days, we crafted a giant dragon.

We colored coffee filters with markers; by spraying them with water, the colors blended together, allowing us to create beautiful scales. We arranged the leaves like roof tiles. We are proud of our group work! Don't be startled if you come into our hallway… Our sweet little dragon is lying there quietly watching everyone! 😉
