         <description><![CDATA[<div>This article presented ideas for remediation in the VIRTUAL setting! <br>They highlighted some principles that are especially important to the online classroom, including;<br>- proactive communication about expectations<br>- clear guidelines for assessing "professionalism"<br>- clear guidelines and policies for identified development issues <br>- clear process for intervention, REMEDIATION, and program dismissal <br>Throughout a student's time in the online program, faculty must be monitoring engagement, accountability, awareness, self control, and bias. These were identified by the authors as priority areas of focus (Dougherty et al., 2015). </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This study analyzed student remediation practices from 12 different CACREP counseling programs using qualitative methods. The following themes stood out as primary remediation practices within these programs; <br>- personal counseling<br>- clinical coursework (adjustments were made to coursework or additional requirements were given). <br>- assignments (additional assignments were given such as workshops, readings, or written assignments). <br>- additional remediation procedures (this included meeting with faculty and considering status within the program). <br>The authors also recommended that remediation procedures should be tailored to the student's unique needs and available resources (Henderson &amp; Dufrene, 2017). </div>]]></description>
