This reason made me not want to let go of the book because it was full of Action, Difficulties, & caos. I remember sitting on the gray square carpet waiting for my 5th grade teacher Mr.Rogers to open the book and start reading. I also really liked this book because it gave me a look of what a Sudanese refugee goes through. Such as having a new home in a new climate, new people,   & a new culture. I couldn't ever forget about this book because it touched me emotionally because of the events in the book such as Jack's (main character)dog named Sky dog got hit by a car and Jack saw his dog die. Why this brings emotions to me is because I had a dog named Bee who we called Boston got hit by a car and died right in front in my eyes. I also liked this book because it was very descriptive and so clear that It was like I was watching a movie as I was reading it. This book impacted me a lot because it taught me that there is good in everyone who seems evil. For an example the main character Isabelle lost her Dad and other things. I also really loved this book because it really proved to me that no ones perfect.
Isabelle who wanted to be like Ashley Barnum who was "Perfect" to Isabelle. In order for Isabelle to become perfect she decided to get skinny by throwing up her food after she consumed it.
