Pada pandangan saya, teori modernisasi ini dilihat sesuai untuk menceritakan pembangunan di Malaysia. Hal ini kerana, proses modernisasi di Malaysia sudah bermula selepas merdeka. Pada permulaanya, Malaysia hanya berfokuskan dalam aktiviti-aktiviti pertanian seperti menoreh getah, dan sawah padi. Today we learn about modernization theory in this lecture. This theory focus on modernizong the underdeveloped nations. In order for underdeveloped nations to get modernization, they need to get 1)Capital 2) Technology 3)Skills 4)Values from the West. This is to ensure the goal of development by following the Western Model. Because at that time in my opinion, the West is very success to achieve the modernization.

Dependency Theory
The unequal international relationship between 2 sets of countries, one is centre (developed regions) and periphery (underdeveloped regions). As we know, the underdeveloped countries and developed countries in this world have a relationship between them for example in economic sector.
