I was born and raised here in Cebu, and am currently residing at Cansojong, Talisay City, Cebu. I grew up to be an optimistic and a happy person, my friends would describe me as easygoing and funny. I am also extroverted and I like going out and hanging out with my friends. Growing up wasn't really the best experience I had because my family wasn't financially stable. My dad was a seaman and he was not the high ranking one, and my mom was doing different businesses like sari-sari store and lending money. During my pre-school days, as far as i could remember, we were financially comfortable but my mom's business of lending money had caused a toll on our financial status, she wasn't paid by her borrowers and this was not small amounts. I only have one sibling who's older than me and she's Daniella Velarde. My mother is currently working as a house helper, and it's quite a bummer to me because my mother has finished a degree in BSHRM but the decades of being a housewife didn't help her at all at finding good job opportunities when she had hotel working experiences. My father is already a retired seaman and is currently at our hometown in Surigao managing our land there because we have a coconut farm or kopra which is one of the only source of income we have now. Aside from the financial status my family has, my family was a good one. And currently I'm taking up a bachelors degree in secondary education major in mathematics at Cebu Normal University which is one of the greatest achievements I have achieved. I must say I'm very thankful to be a student of this institute. Aside from the educational background I have, I am also a person who has hobbies, likes and skills that makes me different. I have played volleyball during my high school days, and was part of the school's varsity team and played as libero when I was in my 9th grade up until the pre-pandemic period. But before I was part of the school's varsity team I was a glee club member during my 7th and 8th grade and was part of the school choir. During my senior high school I also became a member of the Filipino Radio Scriptwriting & Broadcasting Team. These are some events that have made me a skillful person. Also, during my free time I usually watch movies, series, kdramas and variety shows. I also enjoy cooking, and I am also a big kpop fan, in fact one of my current hobbies are collecting kpop albums and photocards and one of the greatest dreams I have is to be able to attend a kpop concert. I don't think I have a lot of remarkable experiences in my life that had changed me, but one I could not forget is that my friend group or barkada and I went to trips outside of cebu city for trips and hangouts, one of which I could not forget is that we went to bantayan island for beach hopping and touring by ourselves without any parents and it was quite an experience, it was really fun and the experience was so great one which is that we were independent and responsible for each other. Also, one life experience I have is that since I was 18 a lot of times I only live by myself since my father is at surigao and only come here few times a year, and my mom is a stay-in helper and would only go home once a month and my sister would stay in surigao in my father for months which was convenient because there was only online classes but yes I did live by myself a lot of times. This particular experience has made me more mature I guess because I had to do things by myself. One of the most difficult things I have encountered is how I budget the money given to me. But originally my ultimate plan was to migrate and live in another country where I hope there would also be a lot of opportunities, and I hope I can achieve them.  I think we all want to live a successful life where we could make ourselves proud and our loved ones.
