I take care of my dog whiskey, fun parts when taking care of him is napping. Whiskey always loves to snuggle up and take a nap. The challenges of taking care of him is that he tries to get into everything. He tries to get into food, trashcans, clothes, he also gets on top of counters. Whiskey will forever be my dog even tho hes a pain in the butt sometimes.

Difference making

It takes little effort to make a difference, it could be as simple as a word. Some sort of act of kindness. Little things go a long way. You being kind/doing something for someone could make a day so much better then it was. The phrase "treat others the same way you would want to be treated." holds a lot of value.

i think work is key to being successful, because when you work you get better at what you do and it shows. A good work ethic is important as well because you increase in that skill no matter what it is. Coaches, bosses and teachers can help you improve but you have to do work on your own time.

I thought my freshman year would be way more fun then middle school, but surprisingly its not. I wasn't the best kid last year but i think I've changed i have been on time and i haven't gotten in trouble. Last year i was also able to find my classes easier because the school was smaller.

My dream is to make it somewhere in softball. That's been my dream since i was a little girl, i want to prove that i can do it. I work more then most people and it shows. When COVID hit i took a lot of time off softball and i wasn't really that good but then i joined a travel team in 2020 and i immediately started working and i got so much better. I went from not starting to switching innings back in forth at right field to now starting every game at catcher unless im tired.

i think the others purpose is to influence kids no matter how you look people will always treat you differently. You might as well dress or look how you want because someone out there will always treat you differently. Never change to someone your not.

1st 9 weeks

My first 9 weeks haven't been the best. I think i could definitely manage all the work better and get stuff done faster. I have lost touch with a lot of my old friends from 8th grade and i think that helped me be a better student because i used to be a bad kid last year. I've made a few not so good choices this year. And my grades were kinda bad but all around i think it can approve.

i always try to have a good attitude about everything. Very rarely do i get down and say i cant do something. I have a pretty good attitude when it comes to sports and i think im good at them. The only time i get frustrated is in history and science because im not good at those subjects

If i had and impossible wish it would be to travel back in time. Id do that to fix all mistakes that ive done and not do them. I think i would be a better person if i were able too.

It depends on it is if its one of my best friends ill talk to them about it and try to help them. So nothing horrible happens and i can try to save them before it gets worse. If its an acquaintance i wont, they need to learn there lesson to improve.

On thanksgiving i was a little sick, I didn't feel the best the day before. I still ate at my aunts parent in laws, Then i ate at my grandpas (pop) both of the food was good. Id say my pops was a little better though. My favorite thing to eat on thanksgiving is mac n cheese and mash potatoes and ham. We also played a game called codes. It was really fun. My uncles and there family came over too.

Ive seen a few fights but in 7th grade was probably the best yet. It was between 2 girls they had a "rematch" and it was in the hallway going up to the 7th grade hall. At the time the girls were in 7th and 8th. They wanted to re run it because there was so much hair pulling in the first one.

I think good parenting consist of trust, caring, and understanding. Thats not the impression i get from her parents. Though their not forcing her their still encouraging. If she gets married this young she wont be able to experience a normal childhood. She might feel trapped and have to pushed a lot harder.

I have to persuade my brother all the time, I usually tell him ill give him five dollars or i tell him ill clean up something. (i never do) and he'll end up taking me. This always works, like today he's taking me to softball open gym's. Right now hes at home so hes had to drive me everywhere. He goes to Roanoke so ive barely asked him to do stuff considering hes taking hard classes and always with his girlfriend or studying. Im very grateful for every things hes done for me.

In groups i feel like i see "Violence of Expulsion". I feel like teenagers are just really rude and like to make fun of people. Like in one of my groups this girl would just laugh at this other girl, I know she was trying to bring her down. She also didn't even know her so there was nothing about her personality that she could talk about. She could only talk about her appearance which she had no right too because she wasn't even pretty herself. I think its so dumb to talk about people that you know wont stand up for there self. But personality thats what i see most in groups at this age.

After high school im hoping to get a scholarship for softball. But also i need to put more effort in school and i need to learn how to manage both. I would like to study to be a teacher. Right now im taking ECE 2 (early childhood education" which i get to teach preschoolers every tuesday in 4th period. Im hoping to pursue that and so after college i get a good job. But im also only a freshman so that could change at anytime. I just want to go to college and make people proud by finishing college

A better world

If i had the power to do, or create anything in the world. I would make a cure for all cancers. I hate cancer. The reason i want to create a cure for cancer is, my grandma (mimi) passed away on my birthday from cancer. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the pain she did. If myself or someone else created this cure it would save so many lifes. Maybe if there was a cure for cancer my life/my families life would be back to normal. So yes If i could have the power or could create something it would be a cure for cancer.

Best pet

In my opinion i think the best pet is a dog. Ever since we got my dog whiskey, life has been so much easier. I think he really does help me with a lot even though he doesn't have hands. Hes helped me mentally. Whiskey is probably my best friend though we dont understand each other because i talk and he barks. And i may be a bit more human. At first when we got him we didn't really care for each other because i was more with my dad then my mom so i didn't get to see him, therefore we didn't grow a bond. Ever since i saw my mom 50% we have grew a wayy bigger bond and now he waits at my door when im not there and cries. Hes a weimaraner and about 4 years old.

When Franklin Roosevelt said "A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor". I feel like he was saying by not facing challenges (waves, storm, etc) you wont get better at what you do. Though you go through a hard time in life it doesn't always mean you will stay that way, it will make you a better person. Say you challenged your self. Ill use softball as a example. Say i was learning a new position (catching) and i just wasn't as good as everyone else. That doesn't mean ill always be bad at the position it just means i need to work and face challenges to get better. As i worked i got more skilled, and its all because i went and tried my hardest and struggled/faced a challenged and learned from it.

Im terrified of adulting and getting older. I think its really scary. Im not ready to get a job and move out. It only means that my parents are getting older as well. I think im more mature for my age, I can wake my self up and make my own schedule. But im not ready to drive, pay my own bills, lose love ones. Im 14 right now so i still have a few years till i really need to think about it. I could Improve on many different things. Like small things.

I think the padlets better. I dont like writing as must as typing. I also feel like i can express my feelings a lot more because im sometimes to impatient to sit there and spell out every word. But i also like using markers and drawing/ decorating the paper. Yes, I do sometimes write in a journals if im having a super rough day or if there's something i want to get off my chest but i feel like i cant really tell anyone else.

As i age and get old its scary. I have to be more mature and do way more things. But i hope as i grow older i experience the fun times. Im a teenager at the moment and ive already experienced fun times that i can tell people, not only fun but scary, troublesome, upsetting, and angry. For my grandchildren, If i have some id like to be the lively type, full of stories and adventures to share with them. I also want to be surrounded by loved ones so im not lonely. At my age, as a teenager i have high expectations because when i have kids which i know isn't until a long time because im 14 in the 8th grade. I dont want them to be packing there bags like i do every few days. I dont want them to have to feel like it was because of them that their parents are no longer together.

I like poetry way more then regular long chapters. I like reading stuff the rhymes and the pretty pictures that you can makes out of words. If you were to ask me when I was a kid I'd say no. I've never been much of a reader or writer untill this year. I like writing in these padlets and reading about Romeo and Juliet. I just think I've matured

As I approach the end of my freshman year I need to set goals. Goals so I have a plan/guide as to what I need to do. I want to increase my grades and make them better. I also would like to focus more and be off my phone. To make these pans happen Im going to need to to study, focus, and maybe power my phone down. But also I have a bunch of work because I always leave early since its softball season. That means a may also need to start doing work at home and in my free time rather then watching movies and TikTok.

One good thing thats happened this year is making the Salem Varsity Softball team. Though I don't really like school softball I think that making the varsity team has brought me more friends, more confidence, and I've learned so much from my great coaching staff. The season has started off rough but I feel as though we have time to improve. One good thing thats happened this year.

Im both. when things get tricky I do complain but I know I have to work through it and try my best. I don't sing; I dont really like when people complain out loud I think it gets annoying. I usually complain silently if that makes since. It all depends on what the hard stuff is.

As I think back to the beginning of the year I think about how much i have improved and matured. I’ve had a few teachers tell me how proud they are of me. I know i’m not the only person who has seen my growth. I’ve never been a bad kid just talkative with my friends. Since then in all the classes i’ve had this one friend in we got separated and I think that has helped me improve, I've also distanced myself from not so good kids. A lot of stuff has happened throughout this year, good or bad. But I think I’ve bettered myself. This summer i’m looking forward to having fun. It’s been way too long of a year and i’m excited to be a sophomore next year.
