The 12 rules are all that help you do self-work and learn more about who you are as a person. Rather than just following aimless rules generalized for the population that isn't tailored to any sort of individuality, he gives simple rules for everyday life. My favorite was in chapter 2, which is to treat yourself like someone you are responsible for helping. This was the best quote in regard to Management and the need for ingenuity. If management deems a path and rules that come to a certain outcome, but don't allow for adjustment to new industry changes, or competition, that management fails their employees.
