Our art students in grades 3^rd-8^th participated in this year’s migration while they were studying the profound and symbolic work of Yehimi Cambron https://www.yehimicambron.com/.  We hope you have a chance to see how she uses monarchs in her work.  We also created our own monarchs out of paper we made that incorporated milkweed seeds so recipients could plant them to make new butterfly food! Our cooperative is located in Richmond, VA where we have monarch sightings at the Pine Camp Cultural Arts Center gardens we planted last year.  Cultural Roots Homeschool Cooperative is a culturally centered and liberated space for families, located in Richmond, Virginia. We intentionally center our programming around the diverse cultural attributes, traditions, and histories of Black, Brown, & Indigenous communities.
