As a teacher is my job to do the best with what I have. The school I am currently employed at does not have a policy regarding special needs. It is to do whatever the parents want us to do. Sometimes that includes overlooking a child's needs. It is an unfortunate cultural difference. A child is only allowed to be normal, and having them undergo different treatment than his/her classmates is what the parent wants least.

I have illustrated the ideal, but in the end I can only do my best in the class time given to me. Differentiated learning techniques amongst the whole class while I champion more ways to meet children's needs in administrative meetings.
