         <description><![CDATA[<div> </div><div><strong>1.</strong> Tony Abbott, the asylum seekers and Bill Shorten. Abbott and Shorten are portrayed in a negative light as they seem like they’re pretending to care. They seem sarcastic, unapologetic and like they will not take any of the blame. </div><div> </div><div> </div><div><strong>2. </strong>They’re playing oblivious to the fact they had anything to do with the ship sinking and they’re holding a newspaper to block their view probably on purpose. Odds are that their policy are responsible for the ‘wrong way go back’ sign sitting in the background. The picture is commenting on the asylum seeker situation within Australia and how Abbott and Shorten have obvious anti-asylum seeker/ refugee values. </div><div> </div><div><strong>3. </strong>The cartoonist is obviously taking 'stabs' at the abbott government and he is conveying this through sarcasm, irony, symbolism (the tie colours representing labour and liberal parties), labelling (border force &amp; ‘wrong way go back’) and exaggeration of Tony abbots ears and the large ‘wrong way go back’ signs representing their ideologies on refugees. </div>]]></description>
