She mentioned that she uses CosClay for her designs and I thought it would be perfect for my sausage design! 

The main thing I loved about this manufacturer was the fact that the clay seemed substantially more flexible than other brands such as Fimo, and more durable. None of their solid colour options were available for the UK market so I believed I could dye it how I needed by using drawing chalk as a lot of doll artists do. 

I ended up buying the clay for a whopping £20 and found it didn't quite work for me, I got the clay in the colour 'fairy light' as it was the lightest colour but didn't quite take the colours I tried dying it. I tried mulling the chalk into a powder by rubbing it on paper and the colour just turned very pale and pastel. I also tried mixing in solid colours from Fimo, as per the review video mixing in other brands makes the clay more brittle, but that colour also turned pastel. My last attempt was to emulate Lauren's way of colouring the clay by drawing on it with the chalk, this didn't show any good results either, you couldn't even see any difference on the clay (edit after writing, she uses another method that I can't quite recognise, see post regarding her for the link and more info). After baking the clay as per manufacturer instructions the clay wasn't even close to as flexible I believed it to be and broke at the first stress test. 

Overall it didn't work at all for me as it was very difficult to work with (brittle yet also very sticky), didn't take colours properly and broke easy. - In Tiffany’s environment she has this dish with her family on her Birthday and they say that if you can eat the noodle without breaking it, then you’re blessed with a long life. 
- Some sources say that the noodles can be streched into multiple long, thin strands but Tiffany says that the dish should be one very long noodle. I believe that the tradition can vary between families and households, as can be common for a lot of cultural traditions.
