THE MUNICH AGREEMENT

The Munich Agreement was one of Hitler’s main goals which was to bring together all the German Speaking people. First steps to this goal was reoccupied Rhineland, in 1936 they were able to do so. In 1938 German troops went to Austria which is where Hitler announced the Anschluss.

The nonaggression pact was an agreement between the Soviet Union and Germany. After they made the agreement they started attacking places and the first place they attacked was Poland and week later after their attack they would claim some of Poland.

World War II

World War II started 2 days after Germany attacked Poland. After the attack Britain and France declared war on Germany at first it was quite a couple of months known as phony war.

Germany Invades France

Germany attacked France in 1940 and Germany seized Paris the same year. The French signed an armistice to divide France into 2 one under German control and one under France control.

Charles de Gaulle

Charles de Gaulle was the French general and he set up headquarters in Britain to continue the fight. Many colonies had faith in Charles de Gaulle and did their best to help beat the Nazis.

Battle of Britain

The British and Germany fought in the Battle of Britain and it was mostly fought in the air. Germany was bombing and doing everything for the British to retreat but they keep fighting back and made Hitler surrender.

Japan takes action

Japan was trying to get big industries and so their first plan was to attack China because they didn't have a good military. Japan got part of China and China asked for help and demanded for them to move out but they didn't then 6 months later of fighting Japan had control of all northern China over 300,000 people were killed
