         <description><![CDATA[<div>Edmond escapes by being thrown into the "cemetery" of the Chareau D'if (the ocean). From there, Edmond swims to the Island of Tiboulen. On this island, Dantes witnesses a ship crash into the nearby rocks. Dantes determines that Caderousse is not responsible for his unjust imprisonment. However, Dantes hears stories of Villefort, Danglars, Fernand, and Mercedes and puts them on his hit list.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Lord Wilmore, Edmond's second personality designed for benevolence, visits M. Morel's house to give him more time to pay back his debt, which he became the holder of. Edmond favors M. Morel's family because they have remained kind to his name throughout the years. The family also accepts towards the other personalities of Edward. Edward saw that M. Morel and his family had happiness without the interference of material items. It was for this reason that Lord Wilmore rewards the Morel family by buying all of their debt with no intentions of having them pay it&nbsp; back..          <description><![CDATA[<div>Back on the Island of Monte Cristo, Sinbad the Sailor (yet another of Edmond's personalities) meets Franz d' Epinay. After getting high, stories begin to be exchanged between the two men. Franz tells Sinbad that he is buddies with the rich community in Paris, because he too is rich. One of Franz's closest friends, Albert, just so happens to be the son of Fernand. Edmond realized that Franz was his way into getting involved in his enemies' lives. Edmond travels to the Carnival in Rome as the Count of Monte Cristo where he meets Franz and Albert. Albert gets kidnapped by Luigi Vampa for ransom not soon after arriving at the Carnival. Because Luigi owes the Count a favor, he lets Albert go for free. Albert then introduces the Count to his mother and father. He almost immediately begins establishing his place in society by going to a breakfast with Franz, Albert, Debray, and Maximilian. Not too long after arriving in Paris, the Count met a man named Bertuccio who had major dirt on Villefort. Bertucio explained to the Count that Villefort tried burying his undead child in his backyard. By purchasing Madame Danglar’s precious dappled greys (without permission), the Count plants his first seed of contempt in the Danglars’ home. After “saving” Madame Villefort from the horses, Monte Cristo becomes closer to booth the families. This fact would allow the Count to discover his enemies’ weaknesses.

The Count had Bertuccio had two random poor guys in Paris to play the parts of Major Cavalcanti and his son. At his home the Count interviews the two men and fills them in on the roles they are to play, which included paying them large amounts of money. The count refuses her offers. It is here that the reader realized that there is a significant reason for him not eating at parties. Later in the sotry, the strange ordeal is explained. The Count identifies with Oriental customs. Not eating in front of people meant that there is a no friendship and harm was most likely to occur.

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Justice comes to the thieving Caderousse when he is stabbed Benedetto, his partner in crime. Becoming overwhelmed with greed, Caderousse had killed his wife and the diamond buyer to keep all the money for himself. Caderousse attempts to rob the Count. The Count poses as the Abbe,and stops Caderousse. Unfortunately, the Abbe can do nothing to prevent a death from injuries that bad to go away. The Abee reveals himself to Caderousse as he lay dying.

The Count offers Mercedes the dowry he buried when they were to get married when they were young. Mercedes accepts and heads off to a convent. Albert, wanting to make good of the sodden name his father gave him, joins the army.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Earlier in the story, the Count gave madame Villefort a bottle of poison that makes its victims look as if they died from a heart condition. Madame Villefort begins using it on her household. First her mother in law dies, then a servant, and she would also try to get Valentine. Vallentine is warned about someone killing her, so the Count helps her fake her own death. This “death” and finding out that his wife was the culprit devastated Villefort. Enraged, Villefort commands his wife to commit suicide.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Count destroys Danglars financially. First he gave false stock information to Danglars. Later he taunted Danglars with Andrea Cavalcanti’s fortune for his daughter. Finally fed up with his problems, Danglars flees for Venice, Italy. On his way there, Danglars is captured by Luigi Vampa (under Edmond’s request) and forced to pay ridiculous amounts of money for food. The pirates keep this up until Danglars is totally broke and white haired from stress. Danglars was the final man to have revenge taken upon him.
