Knowledge Constructor: Indicators a, b and c. Through inquiry based learning approach these skills are highly used. 
Innovative designer: Indicators a and c.Using a design thinking framework engages students in their projects that involves prototyping, test and feedback. It provides students opportunities for trial and error.

Exclamation Mark: Within the setting I work with these skills are part of our environment. I am most confident in using empowered learner, knowledge constrictor and innovative designer. 

Question Mark: This is an area that I'm least familiar with when planning learning experiences for students. The last two have become vitally important with distance learning! 

Exclamation Mark: I put an exclamation mark next to all but ‘Knowledge Constructor’. It's not that we don’t have that in our curriculum but it's an area that we have identified for major growth this year!

Exclamation Marks - through the inquiry PYP based curriculum we do address most of the standards but not all the details in the indicators which it will be interesting to work further on.
 
Questions Marks:
Computational Thinker - We do some coding but is an area we need to develop .
Knowledge constructor - we do some of these things but would like to be more explicit

The standards and  indicators make you really consider all factors  that you are asking the students to do.  It also helps to ensure you look at the whole picture and consider all the parts of the indicators too.

  • Empowered Learner - the second part of 1a. "develop strategies leveraging technology to achieve them and reflect on the learning process itself to improve learning outcomes." This packs a big punch asking that students develop strategies using technology and be reflective of their own learning process to modify and improve moving forward. Wow.
