As a senior, what has worked for me this year that I was worried about was learning about the application process. Even though we aren’t in school, I still feel like I am comfortable filling out college applications for the most part on my own, but of course I am reaching out when I need help. What’s not working for me this year is the amount of screen time that consumes my day. It has taken a toll in my energy and my health. My non school related stressors include the programs I am involved with outside of school, as well as my family who still depend on me to help my sister. Sometimes it’s difficult when they advise me to take a break from the screen or to go to sleep, but I have to insist that I need to complete work or make more progress in my college applications. I also appreciate the amount of support the staff gives regarding college applications, such as the resources for webinars, the career cafes during lunch, and sometimes time in advisory as well.

I feel like the problem was stated pretty clear in the first padlet. Students' mental and physical wellbeing are suffering due to the abundance of unnecessarily lengthy assignments and short deadlines. Even if administration comes up with outside ways to "destress", students most likely will not even have the free time to participate in such activities. The problem needs to be addressed from its root, and that can be done by reducing screen time taken by homework assignments and giving students the ability to focus on the quality of their work rather than getting it done on time.
