Pain. Endless Pain. My thoughts are diluted with the eagle; having my soul sucked out of me. After all I’ve done… I thought I would have been praised but I’ve been greeted with endless suffering, chained like a dog to a rock. I wait. Searing pain radiates through my helpless form. I just wanted to help. Help humans. Out of empathy. Humans shivering amongst a grey sky. I was trying to help. Zeus, I was… he can’t hear. I can’t live. But I do. I live with pain. Endless pain. Only looking up to the face, the eyes of the bird against my broken liver. The rocks against my unbreakable chains. 

The pain echoes through my body. I know not of time; however, I know it’s coming. The executioner. It is inevitable. The traumatising experience of being awake while you die… the memory is vivid and horrific. It will be the thing that ends me and the bird. Then I’ll end this suffering. But not now. It’s here. Time is short. Like a sharpened blade, its beak tears into me. Like a Dementor, it sucks the life out of me. Like me, it too longs for a home. A home out of reach. Because, rock, both you and I know that this will never end. 

You and I will forever be bound to these chains… never able to traverse the modern world… never able to see the night of day; never able to live. To live life…
