It was really hard because they had to be worried about finding work, which was too difficult because there were not enough jobs, many simply gave up trying and abandoned their families.

Homelessness affected women because they had to be cautious with everything they spent, since they were the ones who took care of the household expenses. It was very difficult for them at that time because they were paid less than the men.
