1. The world is getting warmer- Earth's temperatures have been going up for a quite some time now, but as of the pats century global warming has skyrocketed
2. It's because of us- Anthropocentric activities have directly caused global warming, especially due to an increased rate of carbon emission's caused by human activities
3.We're sure-There has bene conducted research that proves the main cause of global warming due to carbon emissions.
4. Ice is melting fast- The Arctic is melting at a very high rate (more than the rest of the planet) and if it keeps shrinking at this rate the sea level could rise by 2100 feet.
5. Weather is wreaking havoc- Climate related disasters have more than tripled over time, since 1980
6. Species are being disrupted- Plant and animal species are becoming more and more scarce, extinctions are approaching more than they ever were before.
7. We can do something about it- Humans can help employ a change form fossil fuel use to carbon- free energy supply

Food Insecurity: Climate change causes negative effects on the food supply available due to rising terms, changing precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events.

Mental Health: The negative effects of environmental change can cause detrimental effects on mental health.

Infectious Diseases: Climate change is increasing chances of diseases, specifically, through Mosquitos, the humidity and temperature impacts the life cycle of t he bug and increases the chance of disease spread.

Emerging infectious diseases are on the rise due to various reasons. Some of these reasons include concentrations of local animals throughout the world, large concentrations of people in cities where diseases are found more transmittable, and air-travel which in-turn shares germs at a fast rate. Some actions that we can take to prevent future actions include making smart investments, supporting public health leadership, funding research, responding early, and increasing supplies for testing.

My animal: Asian Elephant
The Asian elephant is able to withstand the effects of climate change because of the animal's diverse habitat and vegetation. Despite this, the Asian Elephant is also prone to climate change because of a decreasing population size, vulnerability to high temperatures, competition for their regular food sources form invasive species, disease susceptibility, and a low adaptive capacity. Asian elephants are being negatively affected by anthropocentric activities because of high rates of poaching.

Linley's animal: Snow Leopard
The snow leopards are able to adjust and deal with continuously changing temperatures, however the main threat of climate change towards this species is the small population sizes and large knowledge gaps. As climate change affects human stressors and changes in lifestyle, this causes human impacts on snow leopard. For example, poaching and habitat encroachment

Trees

How are trees negatively affected by heat and drought?
-In the stressed stage, the uptake of carbon dioxide is stopped. This results in depletion of the tree's food reserves and can in-turn make the tree die.
-A lack of waters that occurs due to droughts can create air bubbles that raises the risk of a tree dying.
-Dry soil is a hug negative risk that occurs due to a drought. This is when a tree

competes with dried-out soil for water. The tree has a higher demand for water, although water is scarce.

-If loss of water vapor occurs because a large chunk of our trees dies out, this could result in instability of the whole system
-Excessive heat levels result in hotter air pulling water from soil. The negative effects of heat and drought often go hand in hand with each other.
