they're made- a lot of what influences serial killers is abuse in early life, in addition to mental illness, which causes them to lash out, sometimes finding a person to project their rage on.

They are made by their experiences that they have during their life time. They could have been treated really poorly or certain event that shaped the way they see life.

I think your environment definitely influences the way you think and act. Your perception of the world around you could have an affect on your mental state. I think it goes both ways, you can be born with something but I think there’s an event that has to happen in your life to trigger it.

While one can be born with a mental illness or form of mental illness. It has to be an external source that causes a person(s) to act out in such a way. In every other case I can only imagine it to be a cause of someone’s environment. “You are a product of your environment”

So, nothing is strict, exceptions exist, what ever, the scapegoat answer. Simply put, no. To imply that people are born serial killers also implies that people are born evil. Mental illness doesn’t mean someone will automatically kill people (also implies mentally ill people are inherently dangerous, encouraging people to expel them from society, something detrimental to humans, a social creature). People kill people because they deem them worthy of death. That’s something they decide. It’s built, it’s learned. The only reason someone would be born a serial killer is for survival, even then, they have to learn how to kill.
