The ad campaign and advertising strategy for the animated show 'TRESE' has proven to be creative and effective as it tapped into the public's interest in supernatural entities and has certainly gained the attention of not only those who looked forward to the show, but random passers-by as well. The campaign featured billboards and posters which were vandalized moments after it was posted.

While this may not look appetizing, Burger King has certainly done a great job in promoting the way they make burgers. Albeit taking a different route (a gross one at that), it has proven to be effective as it went viral across social media platforms and was well-received by the public. This was an interesting and creative approach compared to the standard way of advertising fast food products wherein fresh ingredients were shown, stacked on top of each other and ensured to look as good as possible.

Glade partnered with Walmart in providing the packing pillows used to protect items inside packages. These packing pillows are filled with Glade's air freshener and served as a sample for the customers to get a whiff of their spring fragrance when popped. The pillows' packaging came with QR codes which can be scanned by the users to shop directly from Glade. Fragrant and interactive!

This campaign from Friends of the Earth called "Inhale" features an image of a car printed onto a lid with the straw hole strategically placed on the exhaust pipe. These lids are then distributed to road-side food stalls. When customers drink from this, it would look like they are inhaling toxic emissions directly from the vehicle, which correlates to the statement on the cup: "Pollution is closer than you think."

In 2018, Swedish agency Åkestam Holst developed an ad for IKEA's magazine wherein women are encouraged to urinate on a specific area on the page. This page doubles as a pregnancy test which reveals a surprise when deemed positive. The surprise being: a discounted price on the crib being advertised.

For me, it is a tie between Glade and IKEA. They are creative because the way the promoted their products was untraditional and not the standard way of advertising. Aside from this, it is also useful, since the most unique feature of both strategies is the duality. Glade's packing pillows serve as a protection for items inside packages as well as an air freshener, and IKEA's promotional ad inside the magazine doubles as a pregnancy test. These are not ordinary, has value, and certainly gets attention (not easily ignored because there is an air of bizarreness in these ideas which piques the public's interest) because of their uniqueness, proving that it has served its purpose.

Compared to the others, Burger King was definitely somewhere on the bottom. It gets the message across but it pales in comparison to the others. The way they delivered it was sort of basic; there are multiple videos on Youtube showing the process of decaying food. This was creative to an extent that it was new in the fast food & advertising industry (corporations in these industries would usually and much rather prefer showing products in a fresher state to highlight the good parts), it evokes a reaction from the public, and that it was done by a big company.

It helps them stay relevant. It proves that they can keep up in a fast-paced world wherein demands and preferences constantly change and it feels as if everything has already been done. If their strategies are creative enough, it gains attention and would not be easily ignored. More attention means more exposure, and more exposure means a surge of potential customers which could increase sales. Aside from sales, if the goal is to affect enough or the majority of people and influence their behavior, the company would greatly benefit from it and help them achieve their goal.
