My name is megan and am a student attending Delta college pursuing a nursing carrier. Am not only taking this class because my counselor recommended it to me but, am taking the class because I want to learn about the social science of the human brain and actions in the environment such as; social relationship, social behaviors, and the social interaction with humans and how it is associated too our everyday Lives. Another reason to why I choose to take this class is because, I really enjoy learning about the human brain and I want to understand the reason to why people have different actions and reactions to certain events and situations in their lives such as family, drugs, depression sex, theft, and anxiety etc. I know taking this class isn't going to be an easy task because, am going to be learning a lot but I know with my hard work and commitment and the help of my wonderful teacher, I will be able to understand and learn on the human brain and its interactions with the environment based on different events.

The introductory chapter of this book uses jeans to introduce the concept of sociological imagination. Sociological imagination allows people to connect to private and public issues and social structures. With the use of jeans in this chapter, it helps the reader understand the social structures from everyday consumer culture that explains the key sociology concepts and way of thinking. Jeans are a Waldrope classic for many people, but there are also a key piece within changing fashion cycles that float in and out of style for example we have skinny jeans, flares and overalls. With the of sociological imagination, we get to understand why some people content to buy basic, low budget jeans while others shell out hundreds of dollars for a pair of distressed designer jeans. Using sociological imaginations, we can better appreciate the multiple meanings underlying everyday clothing choices, and also be able to identify the social significance of wearing jeans. After a lot of observations, some researchers found out that some people wear jeans because it allows them to feel ordinary like an average person who fits in with the crowd, while others wear jeans to feel proud of their appearance in a particular pair of jeans. I can relate to this because, I like wearing jeans but am not really a fan of skinny jeans because for some reason they make me uncomfortable so i prefer wearing baggy jeans because i can freestyle baggy jeans with pretty much anything. At the end of the day, we all are different, and sociology makes us understand that we all have different reasons too why we wear certain type of jeans. The first thing i bought was a pack of lip gloss from a beauty supply store. I bought this because i always wanted that certain brand of lip gloss but every time i will go to the store, the always ran out so, that successful day when i went to the store, it was the last pack that was left so, i got it.
