In module One we learned what it means to be a manager and the responsibilities of a management. Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling resources and people to meet organizational goals is part of the managing process. We also learned the functions of a manager which include Applying and distributing organizational resources effectively.

Module Two Takeaways

In module two we learned about Cooperate social responsibility (CSR). Corporate social responsibility may include philanthropic efforts such as charitable donations or programs that encourage employee volunteerism by providing paid time off for such activities. We also discussed culture and diversity in the workplace. We came to a conclusion as a class in one of the class discussions acknowledging that no one would want to work in an environment full of the same people from the same background because 9/10 they'll all bring the same thing to the table. On the other hand, working in a diverse environment may be more beneficial because everyone's bringing something different to the table that can benefit the team.

My main takeaway from module three would be globalization. Globalization is the process by which businesses or other organizations develop international influence or start operating on an international scale. This is effective to know because if you ever want to expand your business and go global there's a lot to take into consideration regarding other countries culture, religion, and rules and regulations. In some cases, you'll need trade agreements to operate in other countries. A trade agreement is a contractual arrangement between states concerning their trade relationships. It defines how countries cooperate in conducting trade, easing the flow of goods and services on mutually agreed terms.
