Need a manager for the space--don't need the knowledge to use the tools but will run it.  

Mobile cart with tools--could be checked out or rolled around-drills, tool sets, glue sticks, exacto knives, snap circuits, laser cutter

VR:  google expeditions--camlynn is applying to get EHS, 3D pens, craft supplies-glue, beads, pipecleaners, pompoms, string, yarn, etc

Management:  Tech squad as a resource--equipment managers in the library, mobile cart, maintenance on 3D printers, tools, sharpen tools, etc, delivery/pick up
Visit:  WSU at evcc:  expertise, partnershipo, feeder schools
OPtions:  elective, after school club, community access on weekends, STEAM courses

Designing "learning experiences" for students is key - not just creating assignments

"Creating a need for learning"
Creating learning experiences for students that they need to know the content to do the work.  Direct instruction does not do that, students can check out because student doesn't need the content, the teacher is giving it to them.

Rank and Justify activity! Good for all content areas.  Lots of ways to make it work for your students.

Curation projects--Great unit starters  (give students the query??? Maybe??)

Next:  Open PBL with teacher objectives:  
Rubric--should have x, y, z (the standards of the unit)  Let kids have freedom to demonstrate x, y, z.  
Can you be flexible enough to allow: sketching, songs, dance   More meaningful, powerful and memorable for them--isn't that the point?

You can also download several others by googling Microsoft Learning Tools: Immersive Reader includes Dictate. Dictate will type what you say and you can even change the language it types. So you could be speaking English but want it to type in Spanish.
