Here are details of Open Doors in March 2026, including an information session on Thursday 25 September 2025 at 3:30pm-4:30pm.

Open Doors will return from 23-28 March 2026.  The event takes visitors behind the scenes to showcase the fantastic range of careers available in construction and over 200 locations are expected to take part across the UK.  The construction projects participating will range from houses to skyscrapers, with manufacturing facilities, offices and training centres also opening their doors to demonstrate the off-site roles across the sector

Build UK, which organises Open Doors, wishes to raise awareness of the opportunity for educational institutions to register their interest in attending Open Doors group visits, with sites due to begin to appear on the Open Doors website from Monday 6 October 2025.  On the call we will share details on how Open Doors works differently for those working within education – this information is crucial to making the visits work within the academic calendar. 

Also due for discussion are plans for Open Doors 2026, key dates for your diaries, changes from the 2025 event and special arrangements and provisions in place for educational pre-bookings, as well as taking questions from attendees.  Open Doors visits assist you in reaching the Gatsby Benchmarks for your careers programme.

Our Retail Management Degree Apprenticeship Scheme is a fast-track development programme designed to give you all the tools that you need to begin your career in Retail and progress to becoming a member of the management team in one of our stores.

As you come to the end of your time in education, it can be tricky to know what steps to take next. We really get that here at the BBC – how, for example, unless you’ve had actually had a chance to see it, do you know that working in a creative, exciting media organisation, like ours, could be your dream job …?  And if you do already know it’s your dream job, you might be wondering how you go about ‘getting in’!

Whichever point you’re at, our work taster programme could be the opportunity you need to help you with those next steps and decisions. You don’t need any previous experience to apply, but you’re going to get a great experience while you’re with us! Our ‘Get In’ taster day is designed to help you find out a bit more about the variety of career paths on offer and give you a first-hand feel of what the BBC is like as a place to work in your local area.

The National Audit Office (NAO) is now accepting applications for its Apprentice Accountancy Training Scheme.

What you will be doing on your placement?

During the first two years of your apprenticeship, you'll follow a hybrid model that combines time a Toyota's bespoke Apprentice Development Centre, located at their manufacturing site in Burnaston, near Derby, with dedicated work placements.

At the Apprentice Development Centre, you'll be supported by world-class trainers as you develop skills in mechatronics, welding, machining, hand tool use and much more. Your work placements, based at our Nottingham Distribution Centre, will allow you to apply this knowledge in real-world settings alongside our expert teams.

Training and Assessment Period

We recruit candidates based on aptitude and potential and will provide full training to give you the skills and experience needed to succeed.

Successful candidates will need to undertake a training period of approximately 12 months. This will include online and on-the-job learning, a three-month course including 3-weeks residential and a 1-day Public and Personal Safety Training course with annual refresher training. The Public and Personal Safety Training includes physical activity and requires an appropriate level of fitness. You must be able to take part in, for example, jogging, stretching and movement exercises, self-defence and restraint techniques.

Throughout the 12 months, you will have a Practical Training Officer to guide you through the process and will receive support from your management team and colleagues.

Successful completion of all training is vital for the role. We provide candidates with as much support as possible but those who do not complete - and pass - all required training, cannot remain in the role and may need to be moved to an alternative role within HMRC. The Associate Operational Performance Analyst apprenticeship plays a vital role in supporting this mission by helping to deliver accurate, consistent and well governed operational performance reporting.

This apprenticeship role sits within the Planning & Performance Team in the Director of Regulation’s Divisional Support Unit (DSU). It is designed for individuals who are new to the Civil Service and who have fewer than three years of professional experience. The team provides essential performance monitoring, planning support, and operational intelligence that informs regulatory priorities across HSE’s operational divisions. As an apprentice, you will support the foundations of this work by maintaining core data, reporting processes and administrative workflows.

You will undertake key tasks such as preparing and checking routine datasets, downloading operational data from corporate systems, supporting Power BI reporting cycles, updating logs and trackers, and maintaining structured records in SharePoint. You will also assist with basic updates to PowerApps and Power Automate workflows, help prepare materials for performance meetings, and provide general coordination support to keep reporting cycles running smoothly.

This is a development-focused apprenticeship designed to build core skills in digital tools, data handling and performance reporting. You will receive structured training and support to develop foundational skills in Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, data governance and reporting standards, with opportunities to learn from experienced analysts and gain practical, hands on experience.

As an Associate Performance Analyst, you will undertake:

1. Mailbox, Records & SharePoint Management
   Oversee shared mailboxes, organise SharePoint records, and manage document storage and version control for dashboards, templates, datasets, SOPs and meeting materials.

2. Downloading and Preparing Data from Corporate Systems
   Download operational datasets from corporate systems, verify completeness and accurate SharePoint storage, and maintain retrieval logs.

3. Support for Power BI Reporting Processes
   Prepare basic CSV/Excel files for Power BI, carry out initial data checks, organise data sources, and produce simple visuals using existing dashboards and templates under supervision.

4. Support for PowerApps & Power Automate Workflows
   Provide basic updates to PowerApps, monitor Power Automate flow issues, and help maintain configuration documentation, ensuring all work follows defined governance processes.

5. Performance Reporting Administration
   Assist with preparing performance packs, updating logs and trackers, and organising papers and agendas for operational performance meetings.

6. Basic Data-Handling
   Carry out simple data checks such as finding duplicates or missing entries, follow set processes to support analysts, and record and escalate data issues appropriately.

7. General Administrative Support
   Manage team scheduling, meetings and coordination, maintain distribution lists and documentation, and support onboarding by organising access to key tools and materials.

8. Learning & Professional Development
   Engage in training and DDaT development to build foundational Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate and data governance skills, using supervised Power BI practice to understand how data and measures shape reporting.
