         <description><![CDATA[<div>*Prenatal screening typically not performed for this rare disorder, early identification is by death in utero or a newborn suffering many fractures during birth<br>*If prenatal diagnostics are done and disease is identified in utero, infant must be delivered via c-section for greatest chance of safety and survival<br>Child may or may not present with:<br>1.  bluish discoloration of the sclera<br>2.  hearing loss<br>3.  joint laxity (looseness, flexability)<br>4.  poor structure of bones that support the teeth</div>]]></description>
