https://padlet.com/LeighKeno/1oh9rdfbee4t Possessing more than 45 years of experience, Leigh Keno serves as the president of Keno Auctions, an auction house that has broken several auction records ranging from paintings to furniture to modern art. He founded the Manhattan auction house in 2009. In addition, Leigh Keno oversees an advisory firm that helps art buyers and sellers navigate the acquisition and disposition processes, which can be highly complicated. His experience in the auction world while he was a Vice President and expert at Christies- as well as decades of experience as a dealer and advisor to major collectors and institutions- has given Leigh Keno the tools needed to best serve his clients. Formerly, he sat on the IRS Art Advisory Panel, an appointment that came directly from the organization’s commissioner. In addition, Pres. George W. Bush presented him with the National Humanities Medal at the White House in 2005. Alongside his work in American art, Leigh Keno enjoys classic cars. He has served as a longtime judge for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and recently judged at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. In addition, he regularly speaks at or moderates panels related to historic cars, including the Historic Automobile Group International (HAGI) Index Symposium at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and the inaugural Pebble Beach symposium. Mr. Keno also delivered a talk regarding " Preservation of Antiques and Art verses Preservation of Automobiles" for a Symposium entitled The Stewardship of Historically Important Automobiles at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. The Symposium evolved into an award winning book of the same title in which Leigh and his twin brother, Leslie Keno, co-authored a chapter. Outside of work, Leigh Keno enjoys taking trips with his family and their adorable pet dog, racing vintage cars and catch and release fly-fishing. His favorite charity cause is helping animals in need.
